A smoker is a theater production consisting of comedic sketches or skits. The term was popular in collegiate America in the early- to mid-20th century, where a "Freshman Smoker" was a term given to such a revue written by and cast with first-year students.

The term may originate with the concept of "smokers theater" suggested by Bertolt Brecht in the 1920s to denote a form of theater where the audience was more engaged than in traditional theater, analogizing to boxing matches, where spectators could smoke while viewing the entertainment.
